Everything came down to the wire, with one fish able to make a difference of tens of thousands of Florida fishing tournament winnings for the six boats tied for second, Miss Costa hooked a fish only 3 minutes before lines out. Luckily, Miss Costa was able to hang on to it. Making this the final fish of the tournament, 18 minutes after lines out, and clinching a second place victory. captain Jim Mulcahy and the crew of the Miss Britt finished the Florida fishing tournament a respectable 8TH overall and picked up enough points to keep them in contention for the 2008 Sailfish Libertad Trophy.

With only one more event left in the 2008 Libertad Challenge the loss left captain and crew of the Miss Britt wondering if they would be able to repeat their 2007 victory.
